Erin Bley, founder and President of Onyx Political Affairs, is a San Antonio native and a highly regarded strategist specializing in government affairs, advocacy, and political consulting. With decades of experience navigating the intersections of business, politics, and community, Erin is dedicated to helping her clients achieve impactful results through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building with governmental entities.

Before launching Onyx Political Affairs, Erin served as Senior Director at the Kaufman Group, where she led the company’s government affairs division and expanded its reach to both national and local clients.

Cacie Madrid brings over 15 years of experience in public policy, advocacy, and political strategy to her role as Director of Policy at Onyx Political Affairs. With a strong background in shaping legislative priorities and building impactful coalitions, Cacie is recognized as a trusted expert in local, state, and federal policy advocacy.

Before joining Onyx Political Affairs, Cacie served as Vice President of Public Policy at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, where she led the Chamber’s policy and advocacy initiatives across all levels of government. Her leadership advanced key business and infrastructure priorities, from transportation and mobility to energy, natural resources, and digital connectivity.

Before launching Onyx Political Affairs, Erin served as Senior Director at the Kaufman Group, where she led the company’s government affairs division and expanded its reach to both national and local clients. Known for her deep understanding of the political landscape, Erin has carved out a niche supporting non-profits, advocacy groups, and community organizations, guiding them to secure funding, form strategic partnerships, and build long-term relationships with key government stakeholders. In addition, Erin has extensive experience working in the energy sector for data center development clients as well as representing Microsoft for many years. Transportation is another sector in which she has previously worked extensively with VIA Metropolitan Transit (VIA) and currently represents another prominent local transportation company.

Erin’s career began in New Hampshire, where she owned and operated a successful real estate and development company for over seven years. After returning to San Antonio, she transitioned into marketing for the commercial construction industry and later partnered with a local developer to establish the Urban Land Institute (ULI) San Antonio District Council. Under her leadership, ULI San Antonio grew exponentially—corporate sponsorships increased to over $250,000 annually, membership expanded from 100 to 500+ members, and several innovative programs and initiatives were launched.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Marketing from Texas Christian University (TCU) and also studied Spanish and International Business at Universidad de las Américas Puebla. When Erin isn’t advising clients or leading community initiatives, she enjoys time with her partner, Patrick, and their four children—Peyton, Lexi, Oliver, and Tobin. Their family enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, exploring the outdoors, walking their dogs, and engaging in spirited conversations about current events and politics.

She has a proven track record of identifying innovative solutions and securing funding for critical infrastructure projects that support business growth and improve the quality of life in San Antonio.

Cacie’s expertise spans health policy, grassroots advocacy, coalition building, stakeholder engagement, and community partnerships. Cacie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Rhetoric & Writing from The University of Texas at Austin and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Sciences from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Outside of her work in policy and advocacy, Cacie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, their baby Hugo, and their two dogs, Lady Bird and Hombre. She is passionate about cooking, road cycling, traveling, and staying engaged with public health, health policy, and political trends.
